“外研社·國(guó)才杯”全國(guó)大學(xué)生英語(yǔ)辯論賽是國(guó)內(nèi)創(chuàng)辦最早,、規(guī)模最大,、水平最高,、影響最廣的全國(guó)性英語(yǔ)辯論賽事,。為進(jìn)一步豐富學(xué)生的課余生活,，提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用能力,，選拔出綜合素質(zhì)優(yōu)秀的學(xué)生代表學(xué)校參加比賽,，特在全校范圍內(nèi)組織第25屆“外研社·國(guó)才杯”英語(yǔ)辯論賽校園選拔賽,。
一、參賽對(duì)象
英語(yǔ)專業(yè)類：外語(yǔ)學(xué)院英語(yǔ)類專業(yè)本科生,；
非英語(yǔ)專業(yè)類：通過(guò)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四級(jí)的本科生,；校英語(yǔ)演講比賽的獲獎(jiǎng)選手。
二,、組隊(duì)方式
每隊(duì)隊(duì)員為2人（分別為一辯和二辯）,。
三、報(bào)名方式
各參賽隊(duì)于3月3日（周五）12：00前報(bào)名,。
報(bào)名同學(xué)請(qǐng)加入qq競(jìng)賽群：554051622 （2023“外研社杯”英語(yǔ)辯論大賽）,，并填寫(xiě)群公告中的報(bào)名信息登記表。
四,、選拔時(shí)間與地點(diǎn)
時(shí)間：2023年3月16日下午（周四,，暫定）
地點(diǎn)：待定
注：若報(bào)名隊(duì)伍較多，則會(huì)增加初賽,。初賽的考察形式可能與正式比賽有所區(qū)別,，主要考察辯手的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)表達(dá)能力。
五,、比賽流程
本次辯論賽將參照“外研社”全國(guó)英語(yǔ)辯論賽的要求,，采用英國(guó)議會(huì)制,。
每輪次比賽由四組隊(duì)伍（共八名辯手）參加，分別為Opening Proposition,，Opening Opposition,，Closing Proposition，Closing Opposition.
具體辯論賽流程為：
1. Opening Proposition Team, the 1st speaker
"Prime Minister" 4 minutes
2. Opening Opposition Team, the 2nd speaker
"Leader of the Opposition" 4 minutes
3. Opening Proposition Team, the 3rd speaker
"Deputy Prime Minister" 4 minutes
4. Opening Opposition Team, the 4th speaker
"Deputy Leader of the Opposition" 4 minutes
5. Closing Proposition Team, the 5th speaker
"Member of the Proposition" 4 minutes
6. Closing Opposition Team, the 6th speaker
"Member of the Opposition" 4 minutes
7. Closing Proposition Team, the 7th speaker
"Proposition Whip" 4 minutes
8. Closing Opposition Team, the 8th speaker
"Opposition Whip" 4 minutes
六,、 評(píng)選方式
選拔賽評(píng)委為外語(yǔ)學(xué)院教師,，評(píng)選結(jié)果由評(píng)委打分產(chǎn)生。表現(xiàn)最佳的兩位辯手將代表我校參加華南地區(qū)的辯論賽,。
評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)如下：

Excellent to flawless. The standard of speech you would expect to see from a speaker at the Grand Final level of the tournament. This speaker has many strengths and few, if any, weaknesses. |
80-89 |
Above average to very good. The standard you would expect to see from a speaker at the semi-finals level or in contention to make to the finals. This speaker has clear strengths and some minor weaknesses. |
70-79 |
Average. The speaker has strengths and weaknesses and roughly equal proportions. |
60-69 |
Poor to below average. The team has clear problems and some minor strength. |
50-59 |
Very poor. This speaker has fundamental weaknesses and few, if any, strengths. |
七,、辯題
辯題于比賽現(xiàn)場(chǎng)提前30分鐘抽取。
注：若報(bào)名隊(duì)伍較多,，則會(huì)增加初賽,。初賽的考察形式可能與正式比賽有所區(qū)別，主要考察辯手的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)表達(dá)能力,。
八,、決賽獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)辦法
校園選拔賽將產(chǎn)生：冠軍隊(duì)1支、亞軍隊(duì)1支,、季軍隊(duì)2支,、優(yōu)勝獎(jiǎng)3支、最佳辯手2名,。表現(xiàn)最佳的兩位辯手將代表我校參加華南地區(qū)的辯論賽,。
